What a great weekend!   February 28th, 2010

I love my daddyI had a great weekend! My Nana and her friend SK came to visit me.  Nana really loves cuddle time, so I was in heaven with her! Make sure you check out the Flickr photos because there are some pictures of us together in there! She gives the same kisses as my  mommy does, though, and sometimes I just want to say, ‘THAT’S ENOUGH!” but I can’t, so I deal with it.  Mommy calls them Italian Kisses.  If Italians need to kiss you 4,302 times every time they try, I don’t think I want to go there.

It was exhausting, though! You can see the picture of me sleeping next to my daddy during my nap time today.  He’s very cuddly and warm too.  He’s like a giant teddy bear. I hope I am as hairy as him someday.

Mommy says that today my Aunt Amethyst is coming to visit!  She made me some really neat artwork for my bedroom, so I am excited to meet her.  I guess I have an Uncle Erik, too, but I haven’t met him yet and he couldn’t come, so hopefully I will get to meet them soon.  My mommy and daddy really love them.  I’m sure if they love them, I will too! I love meeting new people!

My family   February 27th, 2010

My nana is here to visit, and she brought a bunch of my mom’s old pictures.  This is my whole family – well, the humans anyway, at one day old.  We’re pretty cute! You can see my mommy’s “eye of jupiter” a bit in her picture.  And I think I have my daddy’s nose.  My mommy’s lips are a little bigger, so I think my lips are more like hers.  I definitely have my daddy’s personality, though!

Nana also brought along this other woman, someone my mommy and daddy call SK.  I don’t know what SK stands for, maybe Super Kool? I’m not quite sure.  She brought me a bunch of really awesome books and I guess she’s known my mommy for a long, long time.  I like her! I like new friends and family.  I still have so many people to meet!!

Nana comes today!   February 26th, 2010

My nana is coming to visit me today (she’s my mom’s mom). I am very excited for this! I haven’t seen Nana since right after I was born! And lets face it, I couldn’t see much at that time!

I haven’t been feeling very well lately.  I get these rumblys in my tumbly that won’t stop.  It hurts sometimes.  Mommy says it’s gas and that it hurts everyone, but that doesn’t make me feel any better.  She did get this stuff that she squirts into my mouth that tastes really good and sweet, and that helps after a while.

Mommy gave me my first real bath! Usually she just uses this little cloth thing with soap on it and I get really cold during my bathtime.  But this time I actually got to sit IN the water! It was so fun.  It was warm and kinda bubbly.  It made my tummy feel a little better, too.  I like the water.  Mommy says she thinks I’m part fish.  I don’t know which part, really, but it seems to be okay!  Maybe my lips?

Birthday shout-out   February 24th, 2010

Happy Birthday Grandma Neen!!! Love you and miss you!!

I’m a big boy!   February 24th, 2010

RelationshipI am 28 days old today! I went to see Dr. Q for my one month checkup, and HE SHOT ME! Now I know why, when the people inside the box in the room with all the windows get shot, they SCREAM!  I screamed my head off!! Now I know why my mommy says she likes the doctor but hates going.  I like Dr. Q but that woman with the pointy thing that hurt my leg, she is not my favorite person today.

On the upside, I got to see daddy in the middle of the day, and when we got home my mommy squirted this yummy berry flavored stuff into my mouth.  She said it would make me feel better.  I’m still hurting but that tasted good!

Mommy is a little sad today because I am wearing different clothes.  She says I am growing too fast for her.  Dr. Q said i am doing well, I weigh 9 lbs. now! I sure am a big boy :)

Seriously, daddy?   February 23rd, 2010

Daddy keeps blaming me for his farts, and quite frankly, it’s a little disappointing. Mine are so much better. I think mommy can tell the difference.

Thank you!!   February 23rd, 2010

A BIG thank you to Wes Beckwirth of Kurv Studios (www.kurvstudios.com) for the generous donation into my education fund!

So many questions!   February 23rd, 2010

Eye of JupiterThis is what my mommy and daddy call my “Eye of Jupiter.”  I don’t know who this Jupiter fellow is, but if my eyes were made out of swirly hair I might be sad.  Apparently my mommy and my Nana and Uncle Nicky (whom I have yet to meet) all have some of Jupiter’s eyes, too, which I don’t really understand why he keeps giving away eyes.  You’d think he’d start to run out – I mean I only have two, and everyone I’ve met so far only has two – how many eyes does this Jupiter character have??

Mommy told me today that since I’m almost a month old I have to get shot tomorrow. If by getting shot she means what happens inside that little box in the window room, I don’t think I want to go.  But she also said that I get to see Dr. Q, and every time I get to see him he’s so gentle and nice, so I don’t really understand why he would hurt me.  Maybe getting shot is something different.

So I’ve been on this side of the world for almost a month. Things are so different here! I kind of like that I don’t have that weird cord coming out of me – it was hard to maneuver with that. Its a lot colder on this side, though.  And sometimes I miss swimming all day.  I like being able to stretch out, though.  I’m getting so big that sometimes when I stretch my clothes snap open.  My mommy then tickles whatever part of me popped open.  We have a lot of fun.

Oh my formula
You fill up my belly so
And give me such gas.

Donations   February 22nd, 2010

First off, a BIG THANK YOU to Grandfather Jim and Grandma Neen for the first donation into my education fund!

My parents have very high hopes for me in this world. I’ve heard them talking about being a CIA agent, spy, super hero, ninja, pirate, ninja-pirate, website designer – the list goes on. That was why I came up with this great idea for an education fund (don’t listen to what they tell you, it really was *my* idea).

The money for the fund goes into my very own bank account, and will only be used to purchase things that will further my education. While the donations may be saved to help pay for college or continuation schooling, they may also be be used to purchase a computer, books, or other materials that will help me further my professional life.
