Just call me Guy Smiley!   March 23rd, 2010

Papa came to visit!!   March 21st, 2010

Papa came to visit me this weekend!! He hadn’t been able to come down at all because of his work schedule, but he did this weekend! It was so fun to meet him.  Everyone says we look alike – what do you think?

He doesn’t stick his tongue out as much as I do, though. And maybe it’s just that neither of us have any hair, but everyone who sees me says I look like him.

He and Nana went to St. Thomas a few weeks ago, and they brought me this really cool hat! It’s hand painted with a lizard on it and it has my name on the side!

Looks like I’ll have to grow into it a little bit!

I’m growing up!   March 15th, 2010

Look at me holding my head up! Sometimes my puppy, Moxi, encourages me by licking my face.  At least i think it’s encouragement.  I guess it could be boogers. She does like her boogers, and frankly, I’ve got a lot of them.  Anyway, I’m getting really good at the holding my head up thing!!  Soon I’ll be able to push myself up on all fours!! Then Moxi will REALLY go nuts!

Look how cute I can be! These are my “Look at me, I’m cute, don’t you want to eat me up?” eyes!

I think I’m finally starting to get my days and nights figured out.  I still sleep a lot, but mommy says I’m not sleeping as long during the days.  And I’ve been good about letting her and daddy sleep at night, so she’s very happy with me.  Of course, sometimes she and I get to take naps together in bed, and that’s the best part of my day :)

Mommy also tells me that my Grandma Neen is coming in two weeks! I’m excited, she is going to take care of me when mommy goes back to work.  I don’t want mommy to go to work, but at least Grandma Neen will be here to take care of me!

More new things!   March 9th, 2010

Last night daddy was reading to me out of one of his favorite books.  I love it when daddy reads to me.  He does all of these voices so I know who is talking. It had some really cool pictures that I couldn’t keep my eyes off of!

Today was another big day! I’m able to hold my head up ALL BY MYSELF!! Mommy was so proud of me.  I was sitting on her tummy, and she was just holding onto my hands, and I didn’t flop around at all! She then got out this weird little green chair, and I sat in that for a while.  It was a good time.

Mommy has started calling it my “throne.”  She says that I look like the Godfather when I sit in it.

Also today, I got to meet a new friend! One of mommy’s work friends named Jill came over with her little boy, Luke.  Luke is 2 weeks older than me, but I’m a little bigger than him.  He’s really fun, though! I can’t wait til we’re actually old enough to interact with each other.  We both pretty much slept through the entire visit :P

More friends!   March 8th, 2010

This is a shout-out to my peeps at Midlands! Mommy had to go to the doctor today which means I got to go with her. Dr. Jones is so cool!! I got to see her and Connie, and they were both so nice to me! The last time I got to see them I was only one day old – and quite frankly I couldn’t see much. Dr. Jones had a lot of rules, though – mostly telling me to stay awake so mommy and daddy can sleep tonight! I like to make her happy, so I’m trying my hardest to stay awake today!! And Connie is having a baby in a few months, so I will have a friend!

This is what I looked like the last time I saw Dr. Jones:

And this is when I last saw Connie:

I can’t wait until I get to see them again!

Being cute is EXHAUSTING!   March 7th, 2010

Aunt Amethyst left today :( I cried a lot when she left. She is such a fun aunt! I can’t wait until I can see her again! We did so many fun things while she was here!

After we got all cleaned up from our art project the other day, we got to go meet daddy for dinner! We tried to make him guess what new thing I got to experience, but the bronze paint under my fingernails (which is STILL THERE even after a 2nd bath and a nail trimming!) kinda gave us away :(

Thursday I wasn’t feeling very well. I’ve had a stuffy nose and yucky throat for about a week now. Thursday I was very crabby because I just wanted to be cuddled, but we were out and about all day again! I ended up going to see the doctor on Friday because mommy was afraid that it was worse than it really was, but she was right – just a cold. We didn’t get to see Dr. Q because he was on vacation or something, but the doctor we did see was really nice – he even warmed up that round metal thing before putting it on my skin and listening to my heart beat! I’ve been feeling better, though, so hopefully I will be back to Super Max status soon!

More new experiences!   March 3rd, 2010

Wow! Having Aunt Amethyst here is just getting better and better! As it turns out, both she and my mommy are artists, so they do some crazy stuff.  Today, I got to do my very first art project! It took a while for me to get the hang of it, though.  I’ve got a lot of art stuff to learn! Here are some pictures of me after the project was done.  Mommy always says that a messy artist is a true artist…so I must be an art master!!!

Oh the places I’ve been!   March 2nd, 2010

I LOVE having Aunt Amethyst here! I’ve experienced so much in the past few days. She’s such a fun person!

When we first got here, mommy and daddy took her out to dinner. She let me taste ICE CREAM (Shhhh – don’t tell my mommy)!!! It was so tasty. I didn’t get a lot, but I can’t wait until I can eat it more often!

Yesterday we got to go to this big store with a lot of food. People were stopping and looking at me a lot. That wasn’t even the cool part though! After we were done with that, we were in the car and we got to drive through this dark tunnel and we got hit with water and Muppets! At least I THINK they were Muppets. There were these big hairy red things dancing around our car! Mommy said they are what makes our car clean, but I just thought it was weird.

Today we got to go to daddy’s office and meet some really nice people. And then we went to a store with a bunch of clothes. Mommy was all excited cause everything was so cheap, and I was so excited for her that I pooped. Twice. It was awesome.

Our week together is only half over and I’ve already gotten to do so much! She’s so much fun, she sings to me and dances with me, and she’s really tall so I’m much further off of the ground when she holds me. It’s a good thing I’m not afraid of heights!
